God Alone

I awoke early one morning in the foothills of the Himalayas to the unfamiliar sounds of a Nepali morning. As I listened, I became aware that I was entering into a day that had already begun. My thoughts turned to worship. I thought of the angels and their songs thundering through the heavens. I realized I was waking to join worship that was already in motion. Inspired by my surroundings, lyrics and melody began to flow. Within an hour the song was finished. I introduced it in a morning worship gathering about two and a half hours after waking. I don’t think I’ve ever written another song so quickly.
