It’s been said that the glory of God is simply the sum total of his attributes. The Scriptures say the Son is the exact representation of his Father. This song began as a meditation on those attributes on display in the person of Jesus. As I began to recount them, the reality came home to me again that Jesus is the end of all our searching. He is the only saviour of the world. The Scriptures teach that there is no other name by which we might be saved. Jesus alone can rescue us all from the downward spiral of our fall from grace and bring us into the Light and Life of the Kingdom. Incidentally, I was deliberate in the spelling of “saviour”. It’s the way the British and most of the rest of the English-speaking world spells that beautiful title of Jesus, so it seemed fitting to spell it that way for this song.
